The ESSENTIALS course covers the core post graduate skin cancer medicine education for doctors working in general practice. The course focuses on key skills, diagnostic essentials and safe practice.
Procedures covered in this workshop include: curettage, cryotherapy, cautery, punch biopsy, shave biopsy, elliptical excision and incisional biopsy. Surgical procedures are reinforced with the opportunity to practice techniques on pigs trotters.
The DERMOSCOPY course focuses on the dermoscopic skills required to diagnose both malignant and benign skin lesions. 9 hours of dermoscopy training also covers the corresponding histologic features that match dermoscopy findings.
